This all may be a moot point...as it depends on ECR being race-ready for the scheduled NASA April 5-7 ECR race...
So, I've got an SCCA Full Comp License and a nice little GTA / GT2 Monte Carlo that I'll be racing locally (have been running with SCCA since 2014) as time permits - if the aforementioned race happens I want to be a part of it - FULL disclosure - SCCA has ECR on the race schedule for May....so, sure, being a member I can run at ECR all I went when it is back open...however, I'd rather RACE there before and get a feel of how hard things can be pushed in traffic / with competitors....so - how quick / easy to get a waiver NASA license for one event or do I have to go all-in? I've helped some NASA folks crossover for SCCA, would appreciate any reciprocity. Not looking to run a full season with NASA...but it never hurts to have another license....
It's been awhile since I've looked at the NASA Calculator...but here's what I've got:
-tube frame silhouette car
-bias ply slicks, 15" wheel with small stock car brakes
-minimum weight is 2,830 but with my lardbutt it's probably around 2,900
-RWHP (i.e. - at the ground) is ~420 HP
-4 speed dog box
-no aero other than the rear blade
-no ABS / Traction Control
So, SU, ST1?
