#111267 Convertible recommendations for my dad - an M roadster, Boxster, other?

Posted by jared on 21 December 2018 - 07:35 AM

So your 73 year-old father is going to be going 10/10th's doing four wheel drifts on the back roads with your mother in the car?

Interesting...

I think you missed the entire reason for the Miata. It comes from the factory built to go 6(7)/10th's on the back roads with the top down and put a smile on your face. It wasn't built for 10/10th's drifting in parking lots. I though you were looking for a car for your dad? Are you looking for a track car now?

That's what happens when you're rich.

You can give Zack at call at Johnson Automotive. 512-762-4797 You can tell him I sent you if you'd like.

He's done lots of diff work, mostly on Jeeps, but he has a pretty varied background. Corvettes and Camaros included (he owned a C6Z and currently has a '67 with a TT LS swap). He's also been a bit of a track rat as well with lots of time at H2R.

#110864 The Zora, Corvette, whatever

Posted by jared on 07 December 2018 - 11:31 AM

The only real gripe I have is the sound. I'm sure it's a fantastic motor, but the previous race cars (and DP cars) has a American V8 sound that command attention and fear. This sounds like a lot of the other race cars and lacks that deep roar of previous generations.

I'm a Corvette fan boy so of course I already like the car but if I was allowed to change one thing, it would be that.

BMW 1 Series

BMW 3 Series

BMW Z4

Miata ND

S2000

Nissan/Infiniti/Lexus convertibles all look like giant smoothed turds. They look like bloated whales with the tops down.

This should work well for most folks. USB powered and has a hook to hang on your cage.

He left his employee badge on your nightstand?

Untrue.

What smells worse than hippies?

Probably whatever happened in the above situation.
