Little by little I have chipped away at some quicker lap times with my NC miata at HHR. Got some track time today with the new set up and was pleased to see some 17's right off the trailer. Here's a few laps

Got some time to put the motor back together. New rod bolts, DISI bearings, pistons, and head gasket.

This damage happens most of the time from the shock of detonation. This happened for me when I had a fuel pressure issue causing the motor to run lean. A forged piston is not brittle like cast and would not have done this.

Still planning that out. I might just get one piston and ring set then put it back together

The last bits for the splitter came in so I put in on one last time.

Then I got the last bit of the wing done today. I got the wing damaged 2nd hand so I fixed the broken bits. This was sanded down flat and spot painted black after this.

I curiously put the car on the scales after all the changes to see where it is.

That's pretty soft in the front. I'm not sure what tires you run but I'm around 700f 300r on slicks. The more you progress your set up the larger your front bar will be and the smaller your rear will be. Remember swaybars only effect mid corner. For the most part they don't effect turn in. The main advice I can give is do what makes you comfortable at the limit. If you didn't like the bar change go back.
