Driving a 6,000 pound truck everyday was getting boring, so I picked up a 2014, six speed manual FRS and it's so much fun to drive. The only problem now is trying to hold back the urge of turning it into a second track car. How are the consumables of the FRS/BRZ vs an NC Miata?
A race shop had a sale on some "new" over stock Hawk DTC-60 pads, so I ordered a set and they sat in my office unopened for two months as I didn't need to use them until today. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the pads were severely corroded and had signs of being test fitted. I know that I should have opened the box when they arrived as it's already been two months since I ordered them but this is obviously not what a new pad should look like. I'm trying to get another set sent overnight via another vendor, but if push comes to shove should I sand off the corrosion and use them? Both front and rear pads came in a single box labeled for the rears and the fronts were tossed in the box, while the rears are packed like they should be.
