Who is in?

NOLA Motorsports Park is hosting its fifth NASA Race Weekend of the 2018 Season! Come on down to the Deep South to drive your car on the NOLA Motorsports Park Road Course. You can also enjoy the New Orleans nightlife located just 14 miles from the track.

This is a joint event with our friends from NASA TEXAS. This will be our biggest event of the year and we are very much looking forward to hosting this event here at NOLA.

We will be running the 2.75 mile 16-turn configuration. This is the original configuration that most drivers are familiar with.

Don't forget that your tech sheet is to be filled out PRIOR to going through the tech line. Any shop that is ASE certified or has an ASE certified mechanic, can complete your tech sheet. Here is a link to print out the tech sheet.  https://nasa-assets....m_hpde_tech.pdf

If you are interested in reserving an RV spot with hook-ups, please contact Scott Touchton at s.touchton@nolamotor.com.

Copy and paste the link below to register for the NOLA Motorsports Park Open Track Day on October 26, 2018. (The open track day is NOT a NASA event and is not associated with NASA).   msreg.com/10-26-18carotd

Competitive Karting: Who has done it?

18 December 2017 - 08:26 AM

Hey track junkies!

As I feel weird typing this out, I have become more and more excited to kart each time I go to rental places. Speedsportz/Houston karting complex ect.....

Its great to see constant improvements on the kart track and be able to transfer many of these skills to my car on track.

From my understanding the LO206 is the one to get into, large fields, sealed motors, and stiff competition.  Is there any one here who can point me in the direction of starting into a LO206? Is there local kart shops in the Houston area I can chat with some about?

Sure, I understand i'm probably not "fast" but seat time is key yeah?

Who done/doing competitive karting? Why did you stop? What direction can you point me in?
