Captain Buddha Report post Posted September 26, 2019 ...at ECR with the TA2 Camaro. This was my first time to actually rent a track and have it available just for my purposes...WOW...why the heck did I wait so long to do this!?!?!? If you want to make MASSIVE gains in both your own abilities and that of your car...you owe it to yourself to do this. Race weekends and track events only give you so much time to accomplish things *other* than racing - it's absolutely AMAZING at what you can do when you control the track! I did ~100 laps the first day and ~60 laps on the second. We got a LOT done, both with ME and the CAR! I am both physically and mentally beat but I learned a MASSIVE amount! The first day started off with a wet track that was drying so I was tiptoeing the first few sessions...running slicks (we had wets in case of RAIN)...I really focused on small inputs and the effect...pace started to pick up as the track dried out and rubbered up...yee haw!! There was rain overnight so we started out with a dry, but green, track...a little slick at first but it rubbered in and the track heated up. Massive gains! The car got prepped today for our next adventure - The Trans Am Series TA2 race at COTA next week/weekend!!! Thanks again to the crew at TRB Autosport, Cameron Lawrence and the awesome folks at ECR!! Captain Buddha Report post Posted September 26, 2019 T1 to T14....the Rollercoaster is a BLAST!! The car tends to weight / unweight there so it can make for an interesting ride! I got a little wiggly there a few times...some changes to the car definitely helped! T1-to-T14.MOV Share this post Link to post

I know I'm not there, in the car, or seeing the data, but it LOOKS like you could brake a little less and roll more speed through 1 and still be able to run out of 2.. (i.e. that run out of 2 you straightened up a couple feet from the curbing.. you had room left which means you had speed left. 🙂 ) Armchair coaching is fun.. But that's also one turn on one of 160 laps you did that weekend.. nobody's perfect all the time, right? 😄 1 Captain Buddha reacted to this Share this post Link to post
Vinnieb Report post Posted September 27, 2019 Man thats great. I need to do that. Even on my "practice days" on race weekends I tend to be focused on setting up for that particular track so I don't work enough on the car or myself. 1 Captain Buddha reacted to this Share this post Link to post

Trust me when I say this - I found the limit of every corner! I had to back it off for the last session or two...track temp was 131...my corner minimums were faster than the tires could handle! 1 Matt93SE reacted to this Share this post Link to post
