First time running the 1.3 at MSR-C. Running inconsistent times throughout the day, but I was able to piece one together under 1:14.

Freshly built car, first time on track.  Not real happy with the time, I was still learning the car and dialing in tire pressures.  Vmaxx trackpack and Stoptech brake pads are the only performance mods.

Beautiful day. Felt good to drop a little time, but I can seen potential improvement nearly everywhere. "There is always more" is fun. As always, a work in progress.

My second weekend on the 1.3.  The 1:05.93 lap occured during some lead-follow laps at the end of the day with an Edge Addicts instructor showing me some lines.  Very helpful.

My cell phone ran dead on power at the end and corrupted the video, but Harry's Lap Timer recovered the track time database.  Here is a screen shot of that.
EDIT: See next post for the screenshot.

Also a video of an earlier lead-follow session.

Remarkable day for me. Wasn't even thinking about a PB but the AIM times were dropping nicely after a leisurely warm-up. Thought I was just going to scrub last event's OPR off and get a feel for a damp track. Turns out it was nearly dry and "on-line" was certainly dry. Go-time! Got kind of ragged hustling the car, especially at hairpin.

I'm a noob in the instructor ranks, but my student and I made significant progress on that side too. Very satisfying when the lights start coming on. Double red letter day for me.

As always, a work in progress.

Finished the year with another personal best. Conditions were fantastic and the Mustang loves the cool air. Dropped a second, but even more was available. Some opportunities lost with traffic, and analysis shows that I could have gotten into and out of Toilet Bowl faster, and a simple change of shift points on the front straight until after the kink would put me in the 65s.

Heck of a year on track. Made huge progress as a driver and instructor.

Not bad for the first time I ran this configuration and my lack of experience.  I ran the first 3 sessions with wore out heat cycled tires. So this weekend I started driving the car instead of riding around in it. It was a tough day but a lot of fun. Now I wamt to run a 2 day event on the 1.3.

See if I did this right. Ignore the timing data as smartycam did not know what to do with the 1.3.

APEX was great, like always. The forecast called for rain all day, but 4 out of 6 sessions were dry and the weather turned out pretty good. I didn't get my AIM and video Start/Finish lines exactly lined up, but they were close enough (video has me a tenth slower).

Had a blast with Apex, originally thought the entire day was going to be a rainy mess, but other than one session that had rain throughout, the rest was amazing.  Managed to improve my personal best (1:12.656) from the first morning session to a 1:09.955 on the second to last session.  Please excuse the video, my GoPro died during the session and the only video I have is the Harry's Lap Timer and the less than accurate iPhone GPS sensor, the AIM Solo had the more accurate time (1:09.955).  Can't wait to get back out there next month and try and improve on that time!

Forgot my GoPro at home, so no footage unfortunately. I've only run this configuration twice, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites due to the challenge it offers. Lots of room to grow and chase quicker times on this one.  The downhill left turn after the front straight is probably where I'm leaving the most time on the table.

Good times were had, and I'm looking forward to going back.

Good meeting you.  You looked very smooth in your car.  Hope to see you, Kenny, etc. back out there soon.  Will be at Edge Addicts 3.1 and the 1.7 2-way with Apex next month.

Second time on this track.  Really hate my suspension but love racing with the other guys in this class. Here is a video of me floundering around the track after a friend of mine. LINK

PCA ran some groups on the 1.3 while their novice students learned on the 1.7, so I got my first opportunity to run the 1.3 since I started 5 years ago. Nasty and rainy all weekend, but this morning’s 2nd session had dried just enough to run the dry line with the exception of a huge puddle coming around the top.

Estimated weight with driver: 3100 pounds

Estimated RWHP: ~300

Tires: Federal RS-RRs

Estimated temp: 70s, cloudy, drying from a weekend of rain and fog.
