ECR improvements - can we get regular updates in here?

Recommended Posts

Cool, I'm excited to see how it's turning out. I generally liked ECR, I was just never a fan of the surface and a couple sections (that are being changed). The 2.0 version sounds great, and with the loss of TWS it's like having an all-new replacement.

Who’s in for the Driver’s Edge event on Sept 7-8? Any specific area for instructor parking?

Can’t wait!

Do you know when their calendar on their website will be updated with Member and Open Track Days?  I was going to look at doing the TDE event in September, but, looks like I've got family plans already on that Sunday.  Looking forward to ECR, either way.

I sent an email just now to the general address:  [email protected]

Nice surprise to see a response from Brad Flack now with ECR.  Should mean SCCA events a plenty at ECR, too.  He said calendar should be updated soon for both member days and open track days.

ECR opening soon, but might not be the 15th or next weekend after all.

Another email will come out Monday with an update.

From Facebook.

Eagles Canyon Raceway is hosting a Track Walk and Rock Picking party this coming Saturday (8/17) beginning at 7:30 AM. for a couple of hours. This is your chance to tour the changes up close and ensure the track is ready to open.

For those who want to come enjoy the Texas morning with us, and help remove some rocks from run off areas as we tour the new track - we promise donuts for breakfast. Come out with your fellow Texas drivers and take a look at all of the improvements going on and get to know us a little better!

No email yet as to the member day but i'm waiting until it opens and i get a garage to move my car out there.

If so it's not on their schedule.  I for one will be pissed if there are a ton of events when the track re-opens.  I've been paying them monthly for a long time and supporting the re-build so hopefully they have lots of member days this fall.

PCA has two scheduled http://mav.pca.org/Events/DE/

and a new organization just popped up, Park Place Experience Academy, Sept 2 and Oct 5-6   https://www.parkplaceexperience.com/

and SCCA TT in Nov  https://www.texasscca.org/trials/

probably others I don't know about yet

But that's on their schedule, not ECRs.  Two things we know though, ECR has cancelled a ton of events already and two, they don't keep up with the website.  I imagine they won't cancel anything scheduled if they can help it.

It's not until November, but CVAR has a race scheduled Nov 1-3 weekend, and SCCA has Nov 8-10 on the calendar.

I don't know why I thought they were earlier as I've been staring at this calendar for months trying to figure out which events to skip since the calendar is full every weekend but one from now until Nov 17...  (sometimes 3 events on same day in different states!)
