Track name: MSR-Houston - Clockwise
Track location: Angleton, TX
Lap time: 1:49.0
Estimated total vehicle weight with driver: 2300lbs
Estimated wheel horsepower: 108-110whp
Tire size and model: 13x9s with well used 180/550-13 Cooper slick tires.
Estimated ambient temperature: 65 with about 65% humidity
Notes : Same car (Torsen 4.1 equipped 1.6 miata with homemade intake, Bosal header and a Magnaflow midpipe. Bilsteins with 700/450 springs, RB hollow front and no rear bar, stock seat and belts, HD M1 Sport bar and HT, 1.8 front/1.6 rear brakes (no prop valve and new SS lines) with Carbotech XP12/Axxis Ultimate pads, depowered rack, no A/C, full interior except for no pass seat)...just with the 13s on. No idea on condition...I get my tires from the trash pile @ the track.
I noticed the RF wheel bearing was roaring like hell on the way home...and you can hear it on left turns in the vid LOL.
AND...I just found the source of my mushy brakes...the LF caliper is leaking fluid...and of course the small water pump leak lol....
I hope to improve on this in the spring sometime....

Not to worry, most of the turns were right handers which means the right wheel was mostly unloaded at the time. You're in good shape

Car: 2000 S2000
Estimated total vehicle weight with driver: 3100
Estimated wheel horsepower: 330
Tire size and model: 255/40 R17 Hankook Ventus RS3
Estimated ambient temperature: 70 and cloudy
Notes: This is my track car that is totally tricked out. I ended up running out of brakes into sugar and spice
Had issues with car not getting full revs- would not keep up constant revs many times at ~ 7500, perhaps by pass valve needs tightening
Also it would pop out of 4th or 5th gear sometimes. I contacted the guy I got the tranny from and he will exchange it. Now I have to figure out how to pack and ship a tranny.
Here is a video from that weekend. I did not get my trackmate to work until the second day. I am not sure what lap was a 1:50

Howdy Dave,
Yep still have the Esprit. 115k miles and still going strong.
There is a video from the third session on Saturday, in two parts, here under the MSR-H Jan date. I don't know why it came out so grainy as it is in high resolution on the original. When copying it into FB it went from 1080p down to 280p.
When I have a chance I will try to redo it.
As for living in League city, maybe you have the wrong Al. I'm in Houston by Memorial park and my Esprit is black. Same guy?
cheers

My favorite video of Al's 2-eleven is the one where I spent a bunch of laps trying to catch him so you get to see his whole car from my camera and not just his two front fenders. Mark and I meet the Lotus at about 3:30 in the video. I'm behind Al from about 04:00 until nearly the end.
