SIGN UP FOR AN OPEN TRACK DAY AT ECR

High Performance Driving days at ECR are designed for all driving enthusiasts. All you need is your car, your passion and a SNELL certified Helmet.

We provide the rest!

You will be assigned to a run group based on your track driving experience, and you will get about two hours of total track time, in half hour sessions. It is a very full day of learning and of driving at the limit.

You will experience what it feels like to go flat-out in your car, to make your tires squeal and slide but still feel under control and to brake hard enough to trigger your ABS. It is thrilling, addictive and guaranteed to make you a better driver!

Lunch and refreshments are on us.

Additional  Details:

· Cost:

The cost is $200 + tax.

· Novice / Intermediate driver instruction:

We love introducing drivers to the thrilling experience of carving up a race track! As a novice, you will discover what you, and your car, are capable of. Instruction (and class) for novice and intermediate track drivers is included in our open track days.

· Advanced Drivers:

Advanced drivers will have four 30 Minute sessions, with optional instruction. We will help you refine your skills, and get faster… and faster – while having fun and staying safe.

· Where:

Eagles Canyon Raceway – A technical 2.5 Mile race road course with great elevation change and turn variety. About an hour drive north from downtown Dallas.

· How to sign up:   E-mail [email protected], call 817-992-9714 or register at motorsportsreg.com.

· Forms / Payment:

You need to fill out an Open Track Day application, and a Tech check list for your car.  Both forms are available to download at www.eaglescanyon.com.

every track day ever at ECR is apparently on a day that conflicts with something I already have planned.

I canceled other plans to make it to ECR on the 10th.  It will be my first time there.  Looking forward to it.

Was out there this past weekend for a private event and had a blast.  I had heard many people comment on how bumpy the track was, and other than a couple of small areas, did not find it to be an issue.  I will definitely be back, unfortunately the March 10th date conflicts with NASA so it will have to be April possibly.

One word of advice for those who have not been there, the track is in a remote location, there are no nearby gas stations, restaurants, etc.  The closest gas station was a 20 minute drive.  They do have gas at the track ($3 a gallon for 93 octane when I was there) and they provide lunch, but I would recommend filling up prior to arriving at the track, and also bringing your own refreshments (not sure if they provide this on regular HPDE days).  The facilities are top notch, the club house, restrooms, etc are all well maintained, kudos to ECR for all the improvements.

Signed up and paid.  Looking forward to it.  Had to back out last month due to last minute work conflict.  Will hide under my desk Friday afternoon the day before so I don't get asked to come in on Saturday again!

Lunch is amazing on ECR Open Track HPDE's   I would say its the best lunch at any race track in the country

Come & See for yourself

I disagree. But it's okay! Because I love doing doing the short track clockwise. It's like DFW's version of Hallet!

Bummer, another Saturday I just got the short straw and have to cover a work project.  Too late to get a refund, but, they can put my fees towards their continual improvements out there.  Hope all have a great time this Saturday.

Was a BLAST!! The social hour afterwards was great too!!

Truth.Red letter day for sure.

I hadn't been to the track in 3 years. Its still a brake beast, and has a lot of "character" but softening up my shocks made it much more comfortable and predictable. I had a great time working on my driving and with a couple of great clients. Not sure about the concierge tire service and grid procedure, but the revamped clubhouse and especially the fantastic food were greatly appreciated. A guy could get used to the amenities pretty easy. :)

Enjoyed the social, but Brad and Larry's track "walk" was truly enlightening. So much more going on when you get to see it on foot vs at pace in the car. I can't wait to put that newfound knowledge to work in 3 weeks.
