Does look better, but watch the heat index.

Right now weather.com predicts for Friday 91f / 64% = 104.7 heat index.

So how do you hydrate on Thursday, while driving 4-8 hours? I either end up not drinking as much as I should or stopping way too much.

IV in the truck on the way up.

Pedialyte for breakfast each day at the track

16oz bottle of water an hour while at the track, and one after every session.

Condom catheter to a tube to a jug. We used the condom catheters in extra long dry suit dives. Attached to valve in suit for outboard discharge.

People always ask why I take an empty milk jug with me on long cross-country flights (when I'm flying)...no bathroom in a Cessna/Bonanza/Commander, etc...

Eww, do you drop it out of the window like piss bombs or something?

I am pretty sure the track sells 93. Local stations in Sand Springs (by Tulsa) where I stay do sell EtOH Free fuel, but only in 87. I typically buy some of that my last day to bring home for the lawmowers and such.

Don't ever admit you own a GT3 and mow your own lawn on Rennlist.  You'll get kicked out of the club.

No. I pour it down the storm drain on the ramp.

While not illegal to drop things out of airplanes, it's a conversation with the FAA i'd rather not have.

What does that even mean?

It means we lost a qualifying session (track time) and we're done at 1:25pm (SM that is) - other than that, nothing.

Moderately unhappy about this seeming trend.

NASA says travel farther and pay more for CoTA.

Then NASA says travel farther for less track time (no Sunday quali) for Hallett.

Guys, this is how Hallett has always been. (Not defending NASA here, just pointing out that it was exactly like this last year, and the year before that, and the year before that.)

^^ yup. I just don't remember if it is an average of the two finishing places or fastest time from either race that sets grid for R3. I seem to recall it is based on finishing place of first two races.

I want to get on the road home, so I am fine cutting quali sessions. It's too far to be leaving at 3-4pm.

Can't a brother vent?! My dogs don't listen, the internet is my last hope.

See you boys and girls at Hallett!
