I went out to GSS this morning with the guys from Hous2K. I was expecting it to be a little boring, but figured it would be fun to check it off the list. But I found it to be a fun, little, technical track that I will definitely be going back to. I'm not sure it would be super fun in the NSX, but in the S2K, it's a hoot.

Looks fun, maybe some day I'll get Kermit ready and try GSS.

I don't see anything wrong with that track at all,  I want to get out there too!

Yeah, it is a fun track for smaller cars. I have not run there since before I took the turbo off, with like one track day under my belt. I want to get back out there now a few years and dozens of weekends at the track later, and see what I can do.

Sounds like we need to put together a TrackJunkies track day at GSS.

Looks like we can rent the place for $3000 on a Saturday or Sunday or $2000 on a Friday. Up to 15 cars. Seems pretty doable.

Assuming 15 a Sunday track day would be what 135 bucks?  if we got less than that I wouldn't be adverse to forking out more.

$3000/15 is $200... :) Surely we can get 15 people lined up.

Hey I was there on Saturday as well. As a matter of fact, I think you used my cordless impact

Here's me not using the whole track and paying for it.

Cool! Thanks again for the help. I'm glad Dean talked me into using the plug.

I'd probably be down for this...

Does 15 cars necessarily mean 15 people? Can my wife and I share a car? And that's considering a private track day? No other cars?

Good questions. Yes, I'm looking at a private rental. I believe 15 cars is 15 cars, not people, but I'd have to ask. I imagine we'd break this up into at least two or three groups, ie blue/yellow/red. No instructors, only "solo approved" drivers that we know.

I guess I should start a thread on this. I like the idea. Maybe this fall to give us time to plan and avoid the heat.

Would ya'll rather do it on a Saturday or Sunday, or try and do it on the Friday before a TDE event so that some of you make a three day weekend out of it? Friday is also cheaper.

Oh god, you went and made a TJ account? You're getting in deep now!

I could probably be coaxed into a TJ track day, even though you s2k/Miata drivers would probably make me look stupid.
