Signed up to instruct.

It's a double header with MSR, so I might leave the Miata at home.

Registered to drive Sat only in blue... pending tech inspection and arrival of RBF600 fluid in mail.

I'm having trouble getting my dad and brother to try an HPDE. They got a ride at COTA with an instructor, but they were in a rental car (yes, rental car). Maybe riding in my car will convince them lol.

I'm a lost soul.

I'll be there this weekend. Looks like where my trailer is stored is still really wet from all that rain a week ago, and it's projected to rain again today, so I'll likely slum it by driving the S13 there and back on Sat. Then I'll take the new AP1 out on Sunday to give it an initial shakedown. Changed all the fluids and refreshed the brakes with Stoptech Sport pads. Figure that should be a good base to see how a worn out 144k mi stock suspension does.

Rented an enclosed trailer this time and my back is thanking me for it. So much easier to roll down a spring assisted door than to maneuver around two heavy ass ramps!

The car scraped a bit getting in. Does anyone know of any inclined spots in the paddocks that can flatten the ramp angle at unloading?

That's actually a brilliant idea... low profile unloading docks. In fact couple that with big pull-in spots with power receptacles! Yeah!

Most people carry supplemental ramps - I use Autozone oil change ramps. Others build them out of lengths of 2x10. Race Ramps makes some super fancy lightweight interlocking ramps for the same reason too.

If it's close, you can cheat the system and raise your trailer jack with the vehicle still attached. It gets old if you do it often, especially if you're cranking it by hand.

Some tracks have areas in the paddock that work great: MSRH, on the main road along the garages near CW grid, as well as MSRC parking the trailer in the grass, are enough elevation difference I don't need ramps at all, and I've got 18"+ from ground to my rear deck!

At TWS, no. There's really nowhere with enough elevation difference to do it.

This is what I do. My car just barely hits right where the dovetail stops inside.

Is anyone bringing BBQ gear? Was thinking about picking up some hot dogs from the grocery store after track goes cold.
