PoBoyR6 Report post Posted March 1, 2017 Maybe the owners are planning on using the money to buy up and renovate TWS and still have several million left to sit on top of their freshly burgeoning cash cow. Matt93SE Report post Posted March 1, 2017 I have a feeling they're quite upside down on the loan from building the facility, such that selling the property will only reduce their loan, and not actually free up 11 million.. Share this post Link to post
Kong Sheng Han Report post Posted March 2, 2017 Maybe the owners are planning on using the money to buy up and renovate TWS and still have several million left to sit on top of their freshly burgeoning cash cow. A boy can dream right? Considering how they operate Driveway Austin, I would not want them to buy TWS. I would prefer that Track Junkies buy it. But one can only dream. JoshWard Report post Posted March 2, 2017 How much are they asking for TWS? If 100 of us committed to $300/month we could afford around 4.5mm not including income from events. I'm sure there is way more to this track ownership thing, but as mentioned prior... dreaming Share this post Link to post

Kong Sheng Han Report post Posted March 2, 2017 Huh! I've never even heard of Driveway Austin. I thought COTA was the only track in Austin. Don't even bother looking into Driveway Austin. They won't let you use the full course unless you fork out $1k. 1 robertcope reacted to this Share this post Link to post
Vinnieb Report post Posted April 25, 2017 The way they operated that track always confused the heck out of me. Guess it was a learning experience... Share this post Link to post
EricJ Report post Posted April 7, 2018 Looking at the picture in the ad, they're sitting between a river and a creek. I'd bet that's probably in the flood plain and houses would be unlikely. Share this post Link to post
learningtoshift Report post Posted April 9, 2018 If you've ever played the early versions of Grand Turismo on the PS2, Driveway Austin works like the drivers license in that game. Share this post Link to post

KevinDB Report post Posted July 15, 2019 I believe they are business as usual. https://www.drivewayaustin.com/ Dunno if it traded ownership or not. Looks like an interesting model, a little bit expensive up front but once you graduate from their program it seems like a decent option - nearby (for Austin peeps) easy track time / test and tune as an alumni. Rumor has it their converting to private in near future so if you wanted to check out track you may be on limited time to do so. 1 KevinDB reacted to this Share this post Link to post
