Greenmica
I need to invest in a good timer,I know I have tickled 235's but mostly 238's,I seem to have a focus problem and besides this track with 16 turns ,it is hard not to blow a few turns in a session Link to post

Megahellastylin
18 March 2012 Lap time: 2:27.91 (NASA timing during TT event) Car: 1994 LS1 Miata Estimated total vehicle weight with driver: 2718 (NASA tech weigh-in at the event) Estimated wheel horsepower: 320 Tire size and model: Nitto NT-01 225/45-R15 on TRM 15x9 wheels Estimated ambient temperature: 75 (cloudy, no sun, very windy) Notes: Fastest lap was on NT-01s and not the Hoosier slicks I also ran the same weekend. I am having trouble getting enough heat into the Hoosiers and the cold track did not help. So apparently this event I was better off with more power and less tire. The NT-01s are more fun to drive on anyway, so forgiving at the limit. A 2:27 is still a tremendous drop in time compared to the last time I was there. I was 12th fastest out of the 36 cars in TT. I really enjoyed being back on the 3.1 mi circuit; it is a lot of fun, and challenging. I took three HPDE students for a ride in my car and they all had a blast, and more importantly learned something. Fastest TT time of the weekend was a 2:17.5 (sick fast), set by Troy Messer in a TTU Corvette. Sean Farrah ran a 2:19.7 (also sick fast) in his supercharged TTS 350Z. Link to post
Greenmica
That is same problem I am having with the Hooisers at this track, but at TWS no problem with heat Link to post
Dave
Fastest TT time of the weekend was a 2:17.5 (sick fast), set by Troy Messer in a TTU Corvette. Sean Farrah ran a 2:19.7 (also sick fast) in his supercharged TTS 350Z. Damn, those are crazy fast times. I can't believe a Z can get that good of a time, highly modified or not. Compare that time to what I can get in my stock Z and minimal experience, wow.(about 30 sec difference!) Link to post
himself
Damn, those are crazy fast times. I can't believe a Z can get that good of a time, highly modified or not. Compare that time to what I can get in my stock Z and minimal experience, wow.(about 30 sec difference!) Doesn that Z have more than just a supercharger? Anyone have a mod list? The fast Z is good news for your platform , but not so good news for your wallet! If you get your weight/hp ratio right, upgrade your suspension, and run sticky tires, low 2:2xs are definitely possible. -td Link to post

Megahellastylin
This video shows my fastest lap so far at MSRC on the 3.1 going CCW. I believe the second lap in this video is the fast one at 2:27.5. In the second half of the video I am slowly reeling in a Porsche GT3 (NItto NT-01 r-comps) at the rate of ~2-3 seconds per lap. On the last lap in the video I pushed harder to see if I could get past him and as a result had a nice slide in Little Bend at about 11:35. That session was a lot of fun. In this video I have added the rear view keychain camera and included its sound as well. Mixing the GoPro sound with the keychain camera sound creates something that is pretty close to what it sounds like in the car. I also rearranged the RaceRender gauges a bit. Link to post
robertcope
Nice run. I wish you had a track map on the screen as well as lap times; the camera lens is great for watching you but it distorts the track enough that I'm having to concentrate on telling where you are! It's interesting to compare your speeds with mine through the corners. It'd be really interesting to overlay the data. What system are you using? robert Link to post
Megahellastylin
This time I was trying out a loaner G2X. It was nice being able to record proper g-load data for a change compared to Trackmaster. Peak lateral acceleration was 1.2-1.5g. I could not get the map data to load correctly so I gave up on that because I can tell where I am on the track pretty easily. Link to post
