Holy damn. I need more mods now.

New tires and cold temps helped. I'm sure I got an extra .01 second from each of them. I'm claiming the rest. LOL.

NSX or S2K?

Improved a little bit.  My transmission was dying during this session though.  Good thing Miata parts are cheap (3rd gear synchro).

Took Janice's Alfa-Romeo 4C out to the TDE 1.7CW event.  It caused a stir and cooked along pretty well.  REALLY fun to drive.  I was giving a ride to my Green.

Track:  MSR-C 1.7CW
Date:  2/5/2017
Lap Time:  1:29.876 (Track Addict + XGPS150A 5Hz)
Car:  '15 Alfa-Romeo 4C
Estimated Weight w/Driver and Passenger:  2950
Estimated WHP:  ~210 (Stock)
Tires:  Pirelli P-Zero AR (Stock tires on stock wheels)
Suspension:  Stock
Weather:  65F, Partly Cloudy, Light Winds

Without a passenger, I'll bet this is a 1:27-28 car right off the showroom floor.  Pretty respectable.  Plus, did I mention it's a HOOT to drive?

A new PB for me (lap starting at 18:10 in the vid). It wasn't a smooth lap by any means. Much of the slippy action can be attributed to running sticky tires in the front  and slippy tires in the rear.

2 PBs in the same day is too (two?) cool. Obviously a ton left, especially clockwise. I get another crack at it in 3 weeks.

As always, a work in progress.

PB season continues, dropped a little over a second.

1st session of the day so of course I got a little full of myself and overdrove badly, or just drove badly in the 2nd session. Also screwed up the 3rd session by forgetting to turn off stability control. Made it worse by not recognizing it until lap 10!!! Stupid, stupid, stupid. I had attributed it to a touch of rain, but couldn't work out why everyone was suddenly kicking my tail (badly). The car was twitching and jerking all over the place (especially on the dry line). Finally noticed it and pitted to turn it off. Got back on for 1 lap before the session was done. By the 4th session, it was pretty wet so I slid the car around for a while including a spin in ricochet in front of Fast2.0L. Sorry, but I had fun and felt redeemed in tough conditions and learned a fair bit about driving the 1.7 CW in rain.

New PB. Many thanks to Dave for the very helpful data analysis he provided. He showed me where the easy time gains were and he was spot on. I was also running better rear tires this time around so that helped too.

I'm still learning how to use the Dashware overlay with my Solo data, so pardon the basic visuals (this was actually Lap 4 of the session, not Lap 1 as shown in the video).

That's great, but I don't think I played any part in this. It was having rear tires that weren't toast.

And I like your line through wagon wheel.

Missed a few apexes. Struggled to improve laptimes. I think weight is holding me back.

Funny, at this same event last year (when I last drove the 1.7) I ran 1:21.1 and predicted the car could run a 1:19 something.  I'll say low to mid 1:18's next year when I stop chickening out on a few corners :)
