Vorshlag-Fair
Date: January 25, 2014Direction: CCWLap time: 1:18.675 (AMB transponder loop)Car: 2011 Mustang GT, NASA TT3 preppedTotal vehicle weight with driver: 3770Wheel horsepower: 420Tire size and model: 315/30/18 Hoosier A6 (really old set)Ambient temperature: 49°FNotes: Normally we run the 3.1 with NASA, so this was my first time to run the 1.7 in this car. This was at an SCCA Club Trials competition where I shared the car with my wife, so I only took 2 sessions, about 8 laps total all day. These tires were on their 4th race weekend, and they fall off hard after the 1st weekend. We are prepping the car now for larger rear tires (front is already flared) so we can finally install 345/35/18 Hoosiers on the rear and 335/30/18 on the front. That might "seem big" but remember, this car is run at nearly 3800 pounds, which we do to meet the 9:1 power to weight ratio of TT3. We run MSR with NASA again March 8-9th, and I'll try to sneak in a 1.7 lap on the wider tires during an HPDE4 session. Link to post

Your body seems to be moving significantly depending on the direction of the corner. Link to post
