I haven't had a chance to play in a couple of weeks. Maybe next week will be different. Hopefully you won't get that much better than me. Congrats on the win!

I hate you right now. Expect a hard bump on the track ;)

I couldn't figure it out either. Have you tried the sponsored events with ghosts? I became much faster that way and try to approach it similar to a HPDE when following an instructor.

I believe it's worth the purchase so far. The graphics are some of the best I've seen.

Indeed! What's your user name and we'll add you. Are you using Project Cars also?

Thanks for starting the Trackjunkies group on Steam. I saw dotframe online the other night but I didn't have enough time for a one on one race.

I'm game for that, but I'm not sure when I'll have time. I'm KernalPanic on steam. I'm playing at pro level difficulty right now and I'm getting hammered in the historic GT series.

It sounds like you've had the chance to play with it longer than I have. It's always a matter of getting used to each franchise and how close it feels for me. I agree that they're not perfect but they are improving. I'm solely a PC gamer so I've missed out on ever GT version except for the first two. I enjoyed the two NFS shifts since they were meant for the sim and not the arcade crowd like the rest of that franchise. This was created by the same director as the shift games and appears to be a huge improvement so far. Especially since there isn't an annoying event announcer in the background (I guess they kept some F&F stereotypes around after all). I'm playing out my second season in the shifter karts and even with a short season it can become a bit redundant. I've only noticed a couple small items that I'm sure they'll fix in time. The AI need head lights in low level conditions, and the BMW M1 invitational at Nuremberg's first turn is impossible for the AI to maneuver and it becomes a laughable train wreck. I'm using the Logitech G27, so far it's working but for the first time ever I've noticed lag in the feedback. I've also tried simraceway and I got fed up with it. Grid, F1 2012, and Dirt were fun and struck a nice balance.

Project Cars was finally released last week. I'm still trying it out but the graphics are amazing and so are the driving dynamics. It's pretty impressive so far and feels like a decent sim. Is anyone else trying out this series?
  10. Good question. I'll need to bring my new coilovers in if this is the case.
  11. Thanks! I'll definitely be up for the next one if it's after the heat. My car becomes a real dog in this heat. Gotta love turbos and heat soak.
  12. I finally uploaded a few laps to youtube. http://youtu.be/uXwhAmCUXNQ http://youtu.be/oS8szonl4rU http://youtu.be/s8H6c3T_zwQ
  13. Thanks Jeff! Like I said, I hope we can pick up where we left off next time I'm out there. Thanks for the encouragement and patience. Good work out there Jon. I had no idea civics could be so fast.
  14. I had a great time and the instruction was top notch. I feel like I reached a new skill level yesterday and that I still have a lot more I can learn. I can't wait to get out there again!
