  1. Well, that escalated quickly.
  2. I don't have any pics but you can rest assured that it happened, lol. I'm definitely doing this next summer for cycling. It was really nice to get on the track in this configuration with my car. I wasted a lot of time expecting the Contis to come in...they did not. I think I spent most of the day trying to get down on the #6 apex curbing. It's crazy how for whatever reason, I can't physically drive the car to where I want it, and I tried a lot. There's half a second in that corner for me, probably a full second in 1-2 but I won't find it until I bring Charmin to the track with me.
  3. Black 'Teg at TWS this weekend? If so, you were wheeling the shit out of that car for E. Why are you not running 9s?
  4. 2:03.6 old RS-3 that I picked-up in a pinch for $150 in TTD, Humberto kept me motivated. I'm pretty happy with that. Next time I'll try a Hoosier. Had fun cording tires with Shuko. Radiator fan broke off and took out CKP wiring at the track and on the way home. I was counciled on how to not throw a temper-tantrum in the car over traffic. Oh, I also was so severely intoxicated on Thursday night that I shaved my head with clippers, lol. Xoxo, SirHustlerEsq
  5. I went out and did a group ride last night since you guys held a gun to my head. I went out with the A-group and surprisingly I made it through the first round of "turning up the wick" and dropped out about 13 miles in. Then I picked-up with the B group and made it to about 34 miles on the 36 mile route before I cracked, but they were never out of my site. I averaged 21.4mph and the lone guy with the SRM power meter says we averaged 197watts over two hours making me quite a bit better than I thought. It's kind of scary in a group because it takes a ton of trust and some of these guys are s
  6. You have to point a gun at me to get me to run, I'll stick to the road bike. $65 and 6 hours of driving isn't going to get me down there, thanks though.
  7. I have neither. I need one or the other. I'm still below 20mph on extended rides ~65 miles.
  8. I will run way under 2:00 CCW or I'm not going to drive for a long time. I also made pretty huge changes to the shocks after that weekend. The first try at valving didn't work at all.
  9. I need to get a respectable bike first.
  10. My point is that its like showing up to a Ferrari Club meeting with a Miata. I don't really belong because I'm generally lower-class. I'm still a little afraid of the paceline because I don't trust the people in front of me that I don't know. I suppose it's probably time to get with a group and get slammed. I ride Northshore at Grapevine Lake about once per week, let me know if you want to pedal. I have no doubt that I'm over-critical of myself. That's how I became the best driver on the planet. Tomorrow's route to NASCAR glory: http://goo.gl/maps/c49jD
  11. I also don't have an expensive bike so I assume it will be tough to find a group around here. In my area there are a shocking amount of C59s, R5s, SL-4s, and stuff like that. I just think I'm a little better off riding alone.
  12. Those guys have a solid 2mph higher average speed than me. I would get crushed and dropped immediately.
  13. Thanks man. I'm thinking I can give this a shot next year. I'd like to run a 5-hour century first and then look into this. I'm just not comfortable running with the experienced riders yet because they run so tight and I don't want to get steam-rolled or get anyone hurt due to my naivete.
  14. I'm not strong enough and I've never ridden in a group yet.
