  1. I prefer "technical" tracks... Hallett MSRC TWS MSRH H2R COTA
  2. They should have made it a little version of TWS! It looks fun, though.
  3. The only "orange peel" (which is really just bad paint) is on the front bumper, which has been resprayed before and isn't in great shape. I plan to drop the car off at some point and let them redo that and a few other bits.
  4. Oh, definitely! And done... let me know if I missed something!
  5. I got an S2K and SC400 that I'd trade...
  6. I tried a Bluetooth setup but didn't like it. I had pairing issues, and the microphone and sending unit was not convenient to attach for the student. When you have multiple students, which I usually did, moving it was just a pain.
  7. How did you end up fixing the harness situation?
  8. You are definitely in the right place! Welcome. Sounds like an amazing car you have on your hands. Personally, I would recommend starting with The Drivers Edge, but others will have different opinions!
  9. The monthly member newsletter this month was a little more interesting than usual:
  10. You're welcome to the S2K, honestly. It ain't much to look at but it drives great.
  11. I don't think I ever spun at T2. My first spin ever was at T4 with Ron Vaughn instructing.
  12. Thank you all for your help, I have decided to poop today.
  13. Not really... I did not like the direction Tapatalk was going. They want to own the whole experience, not just be a handy conduit to a forum for mobil. Not sure that makes sense. And I'm sure not going to pay them to dilute the brand/experience. It sucks because they used to be very useful. On the other hand, the mobil interface is pretty good now.
  14. We're out of town the 4/20 to 4/27 or so... going to see a volcano.
  15. That's certainly a bonus for driving a Miata. Do that in the NSX or Lexus and you're probably not back on track the next day.
  16. First video made me very jealous that I don't own a Miata and wasn't out there... Second video... ooof, that looked painful.
  17. The GoPro seemed to do this well, too, I think. The trick is to set the exposure to "center" metering. Default for most cameras is some kind of averaging and that isn't going to work well given the massive difference in brightness. Getting shots of the inside is nice, but my focus is on the track! Setting the exposure to "center" metering and having that pointed out the window seems to work well. I'm going to shoot [email protected] next time, which I think will make some great video. I'm also turning image stabilization off. I got the aluminum case yesterday: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYG4N5A/ It seems okay. The only issue I have with it is the opening to the USB connector is just slightly too small. A few hits with a grinder will fix that, though. I like that the lense is now protected nicely and that I can add standard 40.5mm filters if I cared to. Maybe a polarizing filter would be good.
  18. Sound like a great excuse to get the S2K out on the road!
  19. I wish I could trigger that again.
