    Goals 2020

All that, and another thing it does for me is tell me if it's time for a cool-off lap. If I'm more than a couple of dots into the red and it's too late to make it up (which is usually the case), I figure the rest of the lap will be better spent relaxing a bit so I can reset my head for the next hot one.
  2. Thanks Sam. I just tried your suggestion for embedding, and it didn't work for me either. Oh well, doesn't really matter.
  3. Track: Eagles Canyon Raceway 2.7 - December 22nd, 2019 Lap Time: 2:17.224 (Transponder) Ambient temperature: mid 40's Car: 2013 MX-5 Miata Club Estimated weight with driver: 2730 lbs WHP: 145 rwhp (Dynojet) Tires: Hankook RS4 245/40-17 I picked up another 1.5 seconds yesterday. Here is the video link. I seem to have forgotten how to make it appear as an embedded video. https://youtu.be/r-e2qtjfMbc
  4. Track: Eagles Canyon Raceway 2.7 - December 14th, 2019 Lap Time: 2:18.788 (Transponder) Ambient temperature: 55°F Car: 2013 MX-5 Miata Club Estimated weight with driver: 2730 lbs WHP: 145 rwhp (Dynojet) Tires: Hankook RS4 245/40-17 1.98 second improvement for me in the second session of the morning. The bearing in my right front hub broke in the next session, so I was done for the day. I couldn't drive it home, but a friend with a trailer loaned me his car and hauled mine to his house. We replaced the broken unit bearing assembly on Sunday afternoon with the RX-8 hub that f
  5. Track: Eagles Canyon Raceway 2.7 Italian Canyon - November 16th, 2019 Lap Time: 2:20.659 (Transponder) Ambient temperature: 60°F Car: 2013 MX-5 Miata Club Estimated weight with driver: 2730 lbs WHP: 145 rwhp (Dynojet) Tires: Hankook RS4 245/40-17 The new layout is a blast. A lot more time to be had, I'm sure, if I can just clean up my act. Edit: I finally got around to uploading my video. I know I can pick up time, as I'm clearly letting off the throttle in a number of places where I should be flat out (turns 4, 6, 9). A little more rubber on the track, and I'll be a
  6. I didn't know that TNiA would reschedule due to rain. That's interesting. I wonder if it's a matter of degree? I didn't sign up for the event on the 8th. Now I'll have to keep an eye on the weather for the 22nd.
  7. Sounds like it'll be a fun day. You're out of my league, but I'll be gunning for David and Miles.
  8. I'd love to drive HHR. But it's a long mid-week excursion for me, from Dallas. Not retired yet. Motul RBF600 and track-oriented pads are will help you to avoid frying your brakes. Have fun!
  9. I'm planning to be there. You'll be way faster than me. My PB is 1:25.9 on RE71Rs, but I'll be looking for solid 1:27s on my DD tires.
  10. I have been wanting for a long time to make it out there for one of these Tuesday meetups... not gonna make it tomorrow though. Maybe next week.
  11. I don't know, but you could contact Connie and ask her. Connie L. Stephens 59901 E 55 Rd Jennings, OK 74038 Track 918-356-4814 Office 918-585-1900 The event this year will allow cars other than Miatas if they are sufficiently "Miata-ish". S2000s, FRS/BRZ, Minis, etc. I think the intent is to limit it to lower horsepower small light cars. I went the last three years, and it was a lot of fun. Saturday only my first time, both days the last two years. There's an Apex 3.1 on that Saturday. I was thinking I might do that instead this year. Haven't decided yet.
  12. Looks like we'll finally make it out to the track at the same time. Looking forward to seeing you there.
  13. I'm registered. Looking forward to going CW.
