  1. I don't know if it is still the case, but a few years ago, you could rent the circle track on an off-day for ridiculously cheap.
  2. Would have been nice to know, like 2 months ago, when we bought tickets....
  3. New gaskets and studs. It fell apart after being together for one session after it was welded up.
  4. Ordered parts to fix my car last night. I'm signed up.
  5. Ah, dang, looks like that link was removed. I reuploaded it under my account this time: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pzjl5ius060afs2/RaceCapturePro_AnalogX_%4020180618_003546_008066.xc1?dl=0 Updated the original post too.
  6. Keep an eye on that mesh. I've seen, in person, at least one person having overheating issues due to similar mesh.
  7. You can find a 2015 (slight motor differences) for around $15k. A pre-15 for even cheaper.
  8. Thinking about maybe heading out there Sunday to take a look. I know a few of the drivers competing.
  9. It was pretty much the middle of summer for last year's event. So, super long days. There were 2 daylight sessions, 1 semi twilight session, and one full on dark session. Other than that, it is handled like pretty much any other HPDE event. In the super dark, you just used your indicators rather than hands out the window.
  10. You can wire a small 12v panel more or less directly to a lead-acid battery. The internal resistance of the battery will keep it at the right voltage level, more or less. Or jam a cheap buck converter from ebay on it to limit the charge voltage to 14V or so if you really want. I use a couple cheap 25W panels from Amazon on a couple of my cars when stored outdoors.
  11. I live literally like 5 minutes away. And have driven by tons of time, and was curious. I'll have to head over there soon and give it a shot.
  12. Probably should just take the caps off before heading out on track. That's actually a rule in some orgs, even if not enforced very strictly.
