  1. Like the title says, I'll be out there next weekend after joining today. I did the groupon thing a few years ago and used the hell out of that deal, but it's been about 2 years since I've been on track. I look forward to meeting people. Hows the new surface since the repaves since I was out there last?
  2. If that doesn't work out our team MAY be looking for a 4th for Spa. We have a fantastic team atmosphere, so personality is more important to us than raw speed. We're convinced we won Sebring because of how well we worked together vs our speed...because we weren't the fastest team. We were very consistent and clean. I believe our team only had 21x over the 12 hours, and 4 of that was a BMW slamming into us giving us 9 minutes of repairs. Not to mention the 1x for off track and 2x for loss of control from trying to get it back home with busted ass steering. If you're interested PM me and I'll give you my iRacing details.
  3. My wife just got this for me. Hopefully my stock suspension is too stiff to enjoy the track.
  4. Info on the session: Session Scheduled: Start time (local): EST ‎3‎/‎1‎/‎2015‎ ‎4‎:‎00‎:‎00‎ ‎PM Start time (gmt): Sun, 01 Mar 2015 21:00:00 GMT
  5. Some friends and myself are planning on racing an HPD this year, and we're going to be hosting a multi-hour session this Sunday and the race will start at 8/7c. It will be a two hour RACE with practice and qualifying before that. It'll be multi-class, so if you guys want to get a practice race in you're more than welcome to join, or even come and go as you please. We've posted about it on the iracing forum and the post has recieved some views. We're not sure how many people will join, but even if its only a few its free to you guys. We're not planning on racing as a team, but teams will be allowed if you choose to do so. We want to all get in as much drive time as we can. Pass the word along to anyone you may know who might be interested in this.
  6. I'm super excited about my first track day tomorrow. Are there any off the wall rules I need to know? Do I need gloves (I have a pair, do we have to wear them?) One place I went to required long sleeve shirts...those aren't required here? I just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row for tomorrow. Thanks.
  7. I love how this took a complete 180* turn from what I originally asked about the rain. Yes, I mentioned insurance as a possible reason, but not my insurance. Also, whoever said you'll get billed for damaging CoTA property, you're correct. But if you think they don't have a policy that will pay to fix whatever it is immediately you're probably wrong. Either way, I'm not sure why we're even talking about this.
  8. I know that, but you're foolish if you think that CoTA and Edge don't have an insurance policy out just in case.
  9. You guys are right, that was a hilarious question I asked! I mean, its not like there could be insurance reasons that it isn't run in the rain, or that the track managers don't want people running in the rain for safety and liability reasons despite insurance. What was I thinking asking such a silly question?!
  10. So what happens if it rains? Do we run in the rain? Move the date? Out $600? I'm hoping it would get moved, but I guess I'll take what I can get.
  11. Are driving gloves required for track days like this?
